Last night was a hot and sticky night in Blairsville, as the Keystone Unlimited All-Stars and the Rebel Series got together for the annual John Smith Memorial race. A total of 12 muscle karts took to the track. Heat races were split into 2 groups to set the lineups for the feature.
In group “A” – John Garde picked up the first round win, with Denny Furlow collecting the checkers the second time out. Group “B” saw John Decker race to the front and holding off the XXX of Brandon Oldham. Decker looked like he was going to take it, but a broken steering shaft bolt sent him off with a pair of laps to go and Oldham claimed the heat 1 win. Heat 2, Oldham made his way to the front and his “Evil Twin” rolled to past for the checkers again.

John Garde was able to get out front and most of the night had the XXX hot on his heels. Garde held on to take the checkers and max points on this national ¼ points night.
