The Keystone region traveled all the way down to near the Maryland border to turn laps at Cove View Speedway. It was a pretty toasty day, with the track getting black pretty quick. Five muscle karts made their way to the track that afternoon. Let's get to the action. Heat 1 saw Dan Burkett put his 77x into the lead, where he was able to hold it most of the heat. A late caution came out, and Burkett found his header had come apart. Randy Adair took the lead soon after and never looked back. Onto heat 2, where Adair took the lead early and rolled along to another heat win. Brandon Oldham came in second, about a length behind. Burkett was unable to start the second heat due to the header problem. Hillary Truitt, battling a miss firing engine in both heats, had to pull off early. To the feature where it looked as if Adair would walk away with the win. Paul Deasey hung in strong, making his way through the field. It looked as if Deasey would catch Adair, but the laps ran out. Randy Adair put the #38 into victory lane again. Feature Finish: 1.) 38 Randy Adair 2.) 707 Paul Deasey 3.) 77X Dan Burkett 4.) XXX Brandon Oldham 5.) 20 Hillary Truitt- DNS - Engine Thanks to all the crew at Cove View for their hospitality, really making us feel welcome! Next up is a trip to Stonybrook Speedway on July 5th!! The "Keystone Lightning" audio broadcast of the race is just a click away to hear the race call from turns 1 and 2!
